Yo nodded happily seeing the nurse walking briskly inside the left wing corridor of the Phantomhawk Memorial Hospital’s ER. All in all, she looked quite good for someone who had been buried for a while now, Yo thought.

S/he wasn’t particularly surprised to see a vampire being on the loose inside the hospital. Yo had awakened having a hunch that he, Yo was in a 'he' mood today, could be needed at the hospital tonight. And being a pure thought being; his hunches usually were worth considering.

That was why, without mentioning it to his fellow Legionnaires, he was in a “lets see if a mission is being needed” kind of mission, like he put it. It wasn’t the first time that he checked something that concerned him without distressing his friends. It always took too long to try to explain such things, hunches and impressions, to them.

Following the pretty woman, Yo was trying to remember if vampires belonged to Visionary’s list of cute animals or to the scary ones. His friend had given Yo all kind of lists after the unfortunate lycanthrope accident. From Yo’s point of view, there were more similarities between a vampire and a bat than to a person. At least from a diet point of view.

The part that Yo shared with Pilar wasn’t too impressed with the old equipment of the laboratory where the cute nurse had just gone into. However, as soon as Yo got inside, the lights went off and couldn’t see much more.

“Who are you and Why are you following me?” a gelid voice in the dark snapped irritably.

Two floating bloodied eyes were the only thing Yo could distinguish before he "thought" he could see in the dark. And not a minute too soon, the genderless being noticed, watching the cute nurse transform into a vicious animal that was aiming for his neck.

“I am thinking no” Yo calmly said and thought himself composed of water. Instead of biting Yo’s neck, as was her intention, the vampire was now wet and mad as a rabid dog.

“That could have been Yo-holy- water” Yo informed his adversary “But Yo no murdering scary animals” Because, at some point, Yo had decided that the vampire wasn’t a cute one. “Now, live and let be living, would you?”

For some tense minutes, it seemed as if the vampire wasn’t scared enough of Yo to do just that. That would be a problem, Yo considered, as he really didn’t want to finish it, scary or not. But Yo couldn’t let it to cause pain or distress neither.

Meanwhile, the old creature was trying to decide if to face the consequence of disobeying her superiors and wait for a better occasion or try to kill Yo again. The nurse had been given precise orders to terminate a certain life in the hospital tonight, or her own no-life would be terminated instead.

“Yo will be knowing if again you try” Yo said, rightly following the vampire train of thoughts “Yo will be coming back”

That wasn’t the right thing to say, Yo discovered. The vampire was too arrogant, too wise and old to do what a living being ordered. She suddenly jumped over Yo with her fangs growing and her eyes burning as hell.

“You are not being learning” suddenly sad Yo told her before making himself untouchable. “Just be leaving, would you?”

At this point, the nurse must have realized she wasn’t the right adversary for the legionary’s powers and floating through the opened window dissolved into the night.

"That is not the end" She menaced through the darkness.

Yo nodded in approval for second time this night and turned to leave. Another nurse was watching him from the door.

“Hi, can I help you with something?. You are Yo, right?. From the Legion?”

“Yo is being Yo, yes. And Yo is being finished here, thank you very much. Better being back to the Legion and defend honour and justice the fun way” Yo said “and you being a cute animal, take care of scary ones”

“Will do” Trying hard to not get offended by the animal commentary, the night nurse simply answered already rushing to attend a new emergency. “God take compassion of us all if these legionnaires are the best defence of the planet” Grace O’ Mercy muttered to herself. After all, she didn't have any means to know that her no-life have been saved by Yo tonight.
