The Hooded Hood celebrates 250 issues of Untold Tales with the longest chapter to date. The epilogue is the length of a normal chapter. Sorry.

It’s time for me to be plotting the Untold Tale of Special Resolution 1066, the Patriot and Freedom Act that requires all metahumans to submit to receiving a Patriot Brand to assure their loyalty and co-operation. Since this is a plotline that might interfere with other events in other people’s stories I thought it might be best to consult now before I flesh out what I expect to do.

I’d like to make sure I’m covering the most important bases, so here’s some of the plot threads that are already dangling. Please add any annotations, be they views about how these things might interact or work out, other characters who would logically get dragged in, situations you might want to see that would help with your own plotlines, or points that especially interest you and you’d like to see emphasised.

Let’s start with a list of the Known SR1066 Antagonists:

The Parody Master – the secret archvillain that’s blackmailing the world into doing this on pain of massacre
The Doomherald – his emissary and go-between

Herbert P Garrick - Presidential Advisor on Metahuman Affairs
Dr Vicki Farmer - Chair of House Special Commission on Metahuman Affairs
General "Thunderclap" Rott - Joint Chiefs of Staff (not keen, but loyal)
Hector Manchester - Office of Paranormal Security
Ruben Holcomb - FMRC, Garrick's Deputy
General Shamus McTaggart – FMRC (again, probably not that keen)
Aldrich Grey (The Grey Eminence) (dead against it, but wickedly smart at waiting his time)
Rex Regent - Special Advisor on Interfering and Organising
Exemplary - Head of SPUD
Edward Cromlyn - Shadow Cabinet
Mrs Harmanda Barriere – Special Protocols Against Metahumans
Cyrus Honig - Founder and CEO of COPE (Committee for the Occulation of Paranormal Experiences)
Didn’t somebody establish a Larry Trask (Sentinel designer) parody character?

Harry Flask, the Lynchpin of Crime
Montiver Hole - CEO of ZOXXON Oil

Who else?

SR 1066 Sub-plots already established:

The law case of GMY vs Harper over the dangerous out-of-control robot Yuki Shiro

Erskine Black and his plans for Mumphrey and his grand-daughter

Dan Drury and Fin Fang Foom in a reconditioning camp

The strange disappearance of Natalia Romanza and her message to Trickshot

The sudden de-powering of mutates across the planet

FMRC plans for their trainees.

A programme to Patriot Brand all federal prisoners with metahuman abilities.

An alliance between the Parody Master and the Heck-Fire Club

Alcheman's civil resistance campaign

Splendiferous Stuart and his “No More Metas” movement – and Gloria’s disappearance

Tax and fraud case against Jaime Bautista

The Bloodreaper (intended to take down the Hooded Hood)

Indiana Gnome and Gunther’s investigations and preparations for Sir Mumphrey Wilton

Taking down Badripoor

There’s also a few points I’ve yet to introduce that have been discussed elsewhere such as:

Freedom of the Press: JJJ, Bernice Teshmaker et. al

Zdenka’s return to Candia

Gideon Book, Pelopia, and the visit of the Doomherald

The recruitment of the Nosferatu, the Lycanthropes, and the Ghouls

The Lynchpin, Gamona, the Zoot Suit Gang, and Akiko

Baroness Zemo’s metahuman tracking systems

Commissioner Don Graham – whose side is he on?

The Shadow Cabinet’s “Friends and Family” coercion programme

Who accepts the Brand? e.g. CSFB!’s Globetrotting Gangbusters tie-in

The position of BALD, HERPES, Factor X and other bad-guy power bases

And finally, there’s some stuff around the oncoming Parody Master invasion, for instance:

Yo and the Librarian’s galactic diplomacy to gain allies against the PM

Liu Xi’s visit to the Skunk Empire and the wedding of Princess Annar

The Shaper of Worlds and the hidden Storyheart

The missing Wakandybar, Austernia, Littlesmallville etc., along with the Chronicler of Stories and Amazing Guy

The liberation of Caph IX

The Governors of the Great Repository and their ruling on the coming Parody War

Nats, Regret, and Hell

The House of Camellia and the Faerie Invasion

What else?

I’ll modify this posting as people contribute additions.

Oh, and can we use this banner:
