Okay, you asked for it. Well, HH wondered if I felt like writing it, and I didn't want to let down Dancer and Yo...

I wrote this incredibly quickly, and, as you'll soon see, er... borrowed from another source for some inspiration.

Nats: Surprisingly Decent Proposal

“Come on,” he’d said to her. “Let’s go flying.”
And so they did. Straight to the top of the sky, higher than the tallest building in the city, overlooking the ocean.
“I’ve gotta say something,” began Bill Reed, floating in midair with his girlfriend, the exiled Abhuman princess, Uhunalura, “because I’m not sure I’ve made it clear.”
He looked her right in the large cerulean pools that were her eyes. “I’m in love with you. Powerfully, painfully in love. The things you do ... the way you think ... the way you move ... I get excited every time I'm about to see you. You make me feel like I've never felt before in my life. Like a man.”
He held her close above the clouds and continued. “I know I don't exactly have a reputation for being a thinker. I follow my blood, which doesn't exactly rush in the direction of my brain. So I make a lot of mistakes, and a lot of wrong calls. But I am absolutely sure of one thing: you. When I say "I love you," it has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Uhuna.”
“I don’t know what to say...” she replied, her words catching in her throat.
“Just... answer me one thing,” he said. A small box floated out of his pocket, held aloft by his telekinesis, and opened in front of her. Inside it was a small gold ring with a small jewel set inside of it. She immediately recognized the jewel, not as a diamond, not as a cubic zirconia, but as a small, rare stone that only existed in the Abhuman homeland, from which she had been exiled. “Will you, uh, marry me? Um... again? Er, for real this time?”
There was a small moment of silence, yet it seemed to last forever.
“Answer me one thing first,” she said to him, and his heart skipped what felt like a thousand beats. “Did you think I wouldn’t notice you borrowed those speeches almost word-for-word from Buffy the Vampire Slayer?”
“Er...”
“We’ll just have to invite Joss Whedon to the wedding, then,” she replied, hugging him. “To thank him.”
He hugged her back, and they floated there for a long time, in a happy silence, until Nats spoke up again.
“Wait... that was a ‘yes,’ right?”
“Yes, it was a ‘yes,’ you dummy.”
“Just checking.”
